Paint you own floral still life!

This is an intermediate level painting session that will be largely self guided. Artist and Breeze & Branch owner Liesl Meissner will be painting along with acrylics, providing live instructional demos, answering group questions and offer one-on-one guidance as needed.

Limited supplies such as brushes, palettes, rinse water cups, and painters rags will be available for shared use.

Some supply kits will be available for purchase at the time of the session.

Suggested Materials to bring:

- At least one canvas or panel surface for painting. I suggest nothing larger than 11"x 14" as you may not have time to complete a larger surface in the time alloted.

- A range of brushes

- Pencil

- Paint. I suggest having at least Titanium White, Cadmium Red Medium Hue, Cadmium Yellow Medium Hue, Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Green, and Mars Black.

- Paint Palette or Plate

* If you are planning on bringing oil paints note that the studio is not set up for oil paints on a regular basis. Please bring your own odorless mineral sprits (no turpentine), linseed oil, jars/cups, and rags as well as a box for transporting your wet palette and painting after the session. 

- Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on or bring an apron.

- Feel free to bring any beverages or snacks.

Students can expect to finish a painting within the allotted time if working with a smaller canvas size or bring a larger canvas each session to continually work on and get assistance with.

Artist and Breeze & Branch owner Liesl Meissner will be painting along with you, providing live instructional demos, answering group questions and offer one-on-one guidance.

During your first session you’ll receive informational handouts on landscape paintings basics, and receive customized help on how to tackle your own images.

This workshop runs every other Tuesday, no intro course is required.

Learn or brush up on painting fundamentals in the workshop where we explore limited palettes. We'll discuss the basics of color mixing and value, and how to put the concepts to work. You've receive color wheel templates and take home guides.
